The Nationals is the top amateur contest each year, with the US Championships ("The USA") and the Junior Nationals considered the second and third best. For the Junior Nationals, the finals only are included- for the USA we have the prejudging for the middle and heavyweight classes, and the finals. Women featured in the Jr. Nationals include overall winner Kim Chizevsky, Sharon Robelle, Jackie Rogers, D'Lynne Miller, Kathy Merrill, Paula Brugh, Robbie Bryant, Gina Mezzaroba-Hall, Kathryn Connors, Fran Jones, Luanne Guarino, Lori Adams, Jolane Butler, Mary Ellen Doss and Vickie Weir. Among those competing in the USA were overall winner Tazzie Colomb, Tracy Gillespie, Daniella LeRoy, Maritza Ramos, Karla Nelson, Jodi Friedman, Drorit Kernes, Leilani Dalumpines, Carey Hensley, Sally McNeil, Chris Bongiovanni, Paula Piwarunas, Kathryn Connors, Agi Balough-Buck and many others. Chizevski and Colomb, of course, went on to huge fame in the sport, and these were the shows which really started them on their way. Video running time about 2 3/4 hours.
